Editing your title, description, payment & shipping terms and policy terms
1. Open the template document and save it to your documents.
2. Then you can reopen he document and do all of your editing there.
3. You will be looking through the template to find the areas in pink.
4. You will erase what I have in pink and replace it with your own text.
Inserting your images
1. Make sure your images have been uploaded in your photo host. I recommend www.photobucket.com it is a free site and will give you the codes needed.
2. Make sure your images are not too large. I recommend no larger than 640 x 480
3. In the template you will see “your URL here” erase that and add yours. If you are using photobucket, you will use the link that says “direct link”
4. To add multiple pictures, you will copy and paste the entire image code that is highlighted in yellow, and paste it directly after the first one. Make sure you change the picture URL each time.
5. This is the only place you will add your pictures, you will not add anymore in the sell box in eBay. (you will pay a per picture price if you do)
Adding your links
1. In the template you will find the area in pink that says link to your about me, auctions, favorites, feedback, and favorites.
2. You will erase what I have in pink and replace it with your links.
3. To find your links, go to the web page that you are trying to locate the link on. For example, go to your listings on eBay, look at the address bar and copy and paste the web address where is says in the template.
Review your template
1. Once all of the above are done, copy the entire html code (use Ctrl C) and paste it in a practice board. I use http://www.imagecave.com/html/ .
2. Paste (CTRL V) the entire code in the box and click “test HTML” you will see your template with all of your editing done on it.
Installing your template on eBay
1. you will fill out the sell page as normal with your title and gallery picture
2. when you get down to “describe the item you are selling”, you will click on the tab that says “HTML”
3. Use CTRL C to copy your template from the document and then use CTRL V to past the template in the description box.
4. You will then click back over to the “standard” tab and you will then see your template.
5. You can make any last minute changes there.
6. You will fill out the rest of the sell page as normal, but remember not add any pictures there, you will be charged for them and you already have them in your template for free.
And you are done!
